Πάντα χωρεῖ καὶ οὐδὲν μένει
Here in Bavaria, there’s very special tradition on the 1st of May: so called Maypoles are set up. A Maypole is a tall fir tree stem (30 meters and taller) without branches. Often the stem is painted with white and blue, the colors of Bavaria. On the Maypole there are often wreaths and signs symbolizing the local crafts.
